Brett Menge is a Finance and Accounting professional with over
30 years experience working with Non-Profit and For-Profit
Organizations ranging in size from a small four-person start-up to
a Fortune 500 Telecommunications Company. As a resident of the
DC area for over 40 years, Brett is excited to join Dreaming Out
Loud to utilize his financial skills to improve the lives of his fellow
Washingtonians through the elimination of fresh food deserts and
the development of urban agriculture programs.

Brett is a graduate of the University of Maryland. He spent his
summers as a young man working on his family’s farms in Eastern
North Dakota and Minnesota. He enjoys kayaking, gardening and
coaching/refereeing youth soccer. Brett has a wife of 32 years
and two adult daughters.
As a new team member, Brett looks forward to joining the current
DOL group of visionaries and agriculturists to create economic
opportunities for the DC metro region’s marginalized communities
through building a healthy, equitable food system.
